4+6 weeks - Worry & the unknown - symptoms & sensations

Hey! I’m totally new to this so hello to you all!! I wondered if anyone else has experienced some similar feelings and sensations as me at 4+6 weeks. I found out yesterday I’m pregnant after 6 months of trying! I’ve been super emotional, have achey boobs and feeling a little tired over the last week or so! But this morning I felt that same gushing feeling of when you come on your period so rushed to the bathroom. I found a splodge of browny/red mucus!! It’s completely freaked me out. It’s not bright red so I know it’s old blood and haven’t had any spotting so far so thinking this could be implantation. I have been for a wee since and there hasn’t been any more but also for the last few days have had the odd twinge feeing in my pelvis/ low abdomen which Comes and goes but moves about. Sometimes is more in the middle or to the right but often on the left and my hips have been achey. I called My gp straight away who reassured me that this can be normal but as I’m so early nothing they can do until I’m at least 6 weeks as understandably nothing will show on a scan yet. Therefore I thought I’d see if anyone else has experienced this for some reassurance whilst I wait another week and see what happens! I know Mother Nature will take its course but hopefully speaking woth others can rest my mind until then! Xxx

I felt very, very 'heavy' down below at that stage, as if I was going to come on at any moment. Also had a day or so of brown bleeding at 5 weeks, which I assumed was the start of my period. The result is now 12 1/2 and taller than me! Try not to worry - a bit of bleeding early on is very very common.

Thankyou for this and taking the time to reply! I think it’s the shock of seeing the ‘blood’ that made me panic. It’s hard to know what’s normal and ok vs something going wrong! I’ll just keep an eye over the next week. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks about 3 years ago and this is the first time trying since then so maybe worrying a little more because of that too “) xx
