Advent calendar help!

LMW1990 · 03/12/2019 19:50

My DSC always get chocolate advent calendars from other members of the family. It has become the tradition that I make one. I include some chocolates, little figures, parts of Lego sets to build a full model by Christmas, that sort of thing. I also include things to do, such as read a new Christmas book, watch a Christmas film.

I've got terrible ideas block for things to do! I can't remember for the life of me what I included last year!

Please help with any ideas on Christmassy things to do!! DSC are 8 and 4.

This year I have made up a wooden calendar with drawers that can be used year on year.

Thanks in advance!

-make up a dance to 'jingle bells'
-find out your elf name (include this list)
-name all of santa's reindeer
-design a plate for santa's cookies (if you don't already have one- buy a plain white plate and some ceramic markers)
-work out how many sleeps until christmas
-hang up your stocking

Visit santa,
Get the Xmas tree (if you have a real one)
Write/post letter to santa
Put up decorations
Go out to see the lights
Have a walk after dark
Fancy hot chocolate
Make decorations
Christmas baking
Go to the shops and choose a decoration each.

Sort out old toys to give to the 'elves' (eg the charity shop or selling)
