Happy meal toy

Do you withhold the toy from the happy meal until your DC has finished eating or let them open the toy as soon as the order comes and then eat the food?

That’s always my plan. And sometimes it works.
But if she remembers it or sports in first she HAS to have it NOW and there’s no point arguing with her as she’s the queen and ruler of our home (aged 3)
