Some gimmicky bits and will be making a couple of bits with my DS for his daddy. Budgets tight this year so we’re mainly getting bits for DS instead

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 04/12/2019 01:11

An ice climbing course. He got a rock scrambling course last year.

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 04/12/2019 01:48

Pinning this to steal all your ideas thank you Smile

NewYoiker · 04/12/2019 01:58

A medal hanger from Hugo's workshop.. a race, a bag of recovery shit like deep heat magnesium salts, aftershock bone conductor headphones

Luckingfovely · 04/12/2019 02:41

Great inspo on this thread! Just ordered Sugo and an electric jacket!

maras2 · 04/12/2019 05:36

As this is our 51st Christmas together, ideas are few and far between.
I've bought him a Mr. Pastry DVD. (those under 60 may need to Google Xmas Wink) and 20 pairs of 'non elasticated' socks.
He's easily pleased and will get 'proper' good presents from DC's and DGC's.Xmas Smile.

Trumpton · 04/12/2019 05:50

49 years together so difficult to find new ideas . He is a coffee snob and buys his own single estate beans to grind and then uses an Aeropress .
This year I have bought him a Kitchenaid Kettle so he can set the temperature it switches off to “ perfect for coffee “ .

Bonus is I can also order my hot water bottle to a precise temperature !
I am not a princess but my health is poor and a tepid hot water bottle is upsetting !

An iPad and an Apple Pencil - thanks to the Black Friday sale in Dixon’s in stanstead airport!
But that’s his lot - and it’s more than we would usually spend on each other by a long way

motortroll · 04/12/2019 06:47

A magazine subscription (planet rock) which handily came with a free T-shirt!

A Marshall amp style key hanger as all our key hooks fell down and he keeps whinging and doing fuck all about it. I'm happy to put my keys on the side...

An electric shoe warmer for his stinking cycling shoes which he already has cos it means I can finally relegate then to the garage to dry!!

A toblerone

And he's buying himself some ridiculously expensive bike wheels and a new Alexa with a better speaker to play backing tracks when he's guitaring.

Note how much cheaper my present ideas are 🙄

motortroll · 04/12/2019 06:49

Some of your DHs and dps are so fancy! Can just imagine my DHs face if I presented him with something artisanal or clothing other than a band T-shirt.

Sigh....I think my dh is still 19 🙄

dogcatdog · 04/12/2019 06:51

A new jacket, a T-shirt, a game for his PS4, a quiz book (for us both) trainers, a few DVD's he wants, chocolate and sweets!

pooopypants · 04/12/2019 07:00

Fancy nuts

nrpmum · 04/12/2019 07:01

I'm a runner. Decent running socks, sports massage vouchers, Bluetooth earphones and running gloves have always been a winner.

I'm buying my dh:

Driving Experience for 4 cars
Weekend away
Game voucher
Calendar
Rafaello
Printer for the photos off your phone
Hoody

Quite expensive for me this year but this is the first year I've been able to treat him in 2 years. Before that we were skint tbh.

nrpmum · 04/12/2019 07:02

@motortroll so is mine, but the kids are grown up so we can be twatty teens again 😂

DancingPyjamas · 04/12/2019 07:03

I put my husband's football beanie hat on the dogs head, along with the teams scarf round his neck and photo'd it while it waved it's paw in the air
Photoshopped it onto a pic of the club's grounds with a strapline.
Then put it in a frame. It's A4 size.
He will love it.
Mainly because he loves his team, followed by the dog, followed by me.

Also got him his season ticket.

Impatientwino · 04/12/2019 07:03

My coffee loving DH is getting a coffee subscription- got him it last year and it's been great! The coffee has been lovely.

I got it from www.bluecoffeebox.com in case anyone is interested!

PresidentBartlett · 04/12/2019 07:06

A smite set. It's a game you play outside and they have a big competition of it in I want to say Cornwall every summer. He's wanted a set since reading one of David Gorman's books and this year I've finally remembered to order them.

LajesticVantrashell · 04/12/2019 07:07

A wooden thumb ring made from old skateboards
