What shops have gone from your town centre?

Inspired by another thread about Christmas shopping that got me thinking how downhill my nearest big town has gone over the past 7-10 or so years.

Here's my list of what has gone:

M&S
BHS
Millets
Disney Store
Monsoon
Borders
Starbucks
Dorothy Perkins
Laura Ashley
Toy r Us
Mothercare
Early Learning centre
Top shop
Barratts Shoes
Several independent shops and restaurants
Independent department store
Dolcis
Woolworths

Going back further:
C&A
Etam
Benneton
Toy and Hobby (remember there?!)

None of these stores have been replaced by anything similar and the town is now a depressing place that I avoid. It's so sad.

Is your town similar?

Until 2017, there were five department stores in Leicester :
Fenwick
House of Fraser
Debenhams
BHS
John Lewis

Now, the first three have gone and Debenhams is struggling.

One of the nearest towns has lost

H&M
M&S
Debenhams
Woolworths
Next
New Look
Costa
Mothercare
Topshop

It's basically a derelict town now with only pound shops or random cheap clothes shops.

Yes, yes that's all very sad but how many bookies do you now have?
