I think you're deficient in some essential nutrients. That's not uncommon in alcoholics. I would suggest see your GP for blood tests

With the greatest of respect I think they point to going to see a health professional for advice rather than asking for it from randoms on a forum.

Book an appointment with your GP.

Hope you can get things sorted. Flowers

Alcohol related dementia or other neurological damage? I am not a medical professional, but that would be my guess. The seizures and other neurological issues from heavy drinking can really screw with the brain.

Not eating explains most of the other symptoms

Could be a lot of things.
Yes could be vitamin b deficiency. Some are cerebellar signs eg problems walking in a straight line and with balance a sign of a problem in the part of the brain that controls balance etc.
Neurological issues related to alcoholism.
See your gp for an examination.

He needs blood tests at the very least to find out what's going on.

Northernlurker · 02/12/2019 22:57

It's the booze. It really screws up your head. Get him to see his gp and request assessments.

Thank you. He was hospitalized in july for a tonic clonic.
He's had a brain scan (normal)
And blood tests, which showed the liver starting to complain.
