Soy allergy

Posting here for traffic
My DD (19) has a known peanut allergy, but has now developed a severe allergy to soy.
Anyone already deal with this?
Any surprise foods to look out for?
Any chain restaurants that are better or worse than others?

Obviously we do have experience of looking for nuts as a hidden ingredient, but not soy, and given the severity of her reaction any advice would be helpful.

She already carries the usual allergy meds and we have a GP appointment made.
Thank you in advance x

I find Indy restaurants are actually better for dealing with severe allergies, because they know exactly where the food is from and who has handled it. I would be nervous in chains - Byron/Pret both been in the news for their appalling allergy handling resulting in deaths.

There is a soy allergy FB group which is really good, I’ll find the link for you when I get a second.

Thank you. You could be right Re restaurants - because of the original allergies in the family it did tend to be pizza / Italian restaurants
Thank you
