Anyone got hive heating?

I’ve decided our house is too cold overnight, I’m up feeding baby and we cosleep so I can’t just put another blanket on and then I need the heating to be warmer for 7 when my 3 year old gets up.

Is it good? Do I just get a set or do I need new valves or something for my boiler?

It's not the best of these smart thermostats. Netatmo is better. You just need someone to install a Hive; no new valves necessary. It needs an electrician. Then you have a thermostat unit and an app. Very handy.

I love ours, when we moved I had it reinstalled when we moved. I can control it from when we are out such as yesterday I boosted it as we were due home early. I'd recommend to anyone

We've had Hive since it first came out and love it. You can set your heating remotely using the app from anywhere you have a net connection.

It's not perfect but I find it very useful. I use motion detectors, plugs, door and window sensors and a camera with it as well as the heating and hot water.

The app is excellent and very easy to use.

My main problem is it occasionally goes offline and then it's tricky to reset even though I'm good at that type of thing.

They have good online chat support.

I have all the hive products and love it. Wouldn’t be without them now

The guy who fitted ours recommended a Nest rather than a Hive because it is easier to operate manually if the internet ever cuts out.

It’s good but quirky. It’s great to be able to turn the heat on without getting out of bed and to be able to turn it off from my phone if we are all out but it also has a weird habit of turning on at 3am on a Monday even though that hasn’t been programmed.

We had hive installed a couple of years ago, really pleased with it. The only other ‘add on’ we’ve purchased was a radiator valve in this years Black Friday sales. They are quite pricy so wanted to test one first, again really pleased, so will be adding more

Love ours. Bought it a couple of years ago in the summer on offer
