...what is one thing you wanted to do in this decade but couldn't or didn't?

Vote for a stable alternative to conservatism.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 01/12/2019 21:10

I didnt get round to creating one 5-year plan, let alone two.

Buy a house - everything else is going reasonably swimmingly but there's still a nagging feeling that our life is extremely precarious Confused

Graphista · 01/12/2019 21:33

Have a life.

It's seriously been a shit decade, started positively and went downhill be glad to see back of it and especially this year which has been particularly crap.

magimedi · 01/12/2019 22:16

Remain in the EU.

Inebriati · 01/12/2019 22:24

Its been a really bad decade for politics and the environment, hasn't it.

Keep my basic rights as a woman.
Find a job within my travelling distance.
I failed to turn my garden into an allotment, thanks to all the local cat hoarders who wont stop 'rescuing' cats or buying kittens.

FadedRed · 01/12/2019 22:25

But is it? Surely the next decade starts on January 1st 2021, same as the new millennium actually started on 1st Jan 2001, but the world (mostly) chose to ignore it and celebrate a year early. Because there was no ‘year zero’, the dating system went from 1BCE to 1AD. And that is only one system of dating, there are others in the world where the current year is not 2019. Just a thought.

partysong · 01/12/2019 22:57

Yeah I would say the next decade starts 2021 too ...

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 02/12/2019 06:54

Blimey, this was a lot less serious on FB where I stole it from

Many more mentions of long lost celebrity loves, holidays and fun, than quibbling over dating technicalities Grin

Delighted to see that in only a handful of responses there are already two saying it's a year early. That's all I came here to say!

Pinkarsedfly · 02/12/2019 07:59

Still haven’t written that bloody book.

Otherwise, it’s been an eventful decade. Several new jobs, new house, lots of travel. Oh, and I end the decade with a different husband to the one I started it with Grin

PH30B3 · 02/12/2019 08:33

Still haven't found that new job!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 02/12/2019 08:36

Is your book about finding a new job? Grin
