In need of a moan

NC because it was time for a new one.

This weekend a pipe burst in the bathroom. It flooded the bathroom, came through the ceiling into the washing room, and took out both electrics and boiler. And the kids presents, which were hidden in washing room cupboard.

Electrician and plumber sorted out the apoarent issues. Got power and heating back. We've dried out what we could, and really we've only lost our bathroom flooring, vanity, and packaging of some of the presents. Wet books are wet books.

Boiler is now smoking. We've switched it off. The guy is coming back tomorrow.

I don't know how rubbish to feel about this. I suppose water dries out, and it's not like it's fire damage?

Sad

Oh no! That’s dreadful, I’m so sorry.
Flowers

It is. It IS dreadful, and I'm trying so hard to stay upbeat about it but the house stinks and I feel sick and even my 11yo is telling me wet presents don't matter. I know they don't but the whole thing is still rubbish and I can't gripe about it as much as I want to.

Ty for the flowers xx

I've had a large gin and squeezed a hot water bottle.
