Chilled beer(except lager), no!
Cake with ice cream bleurgh!
Cider with ice cubes, are you out of your mind?

There is nothing more refreshing on a hot summers day than an ice cold glass of cider with loads of ice!

thefluffysideofgrey · 01/12/2019 16:24

I agree.

It's usually done to hide how crap the thing is though. Proper cider is perfectly nice at room temperature.

bobbypinseverywhere · 01/12/2019 16:25

@thefluffysideofgrey can you recommend any nice room temp ciders? I'm trying to get into cider and don't know where to start but hate really cold drinks at this time of year!

thefluffysideofgrey · 01/12/2019 16:27

Rosie's

Treat it with respect though. It's lethal.

Best on draft.

PerspicaciaTick · 01/12/2019 16:39

Stella Artois do one of the nicest ciders. Katy is also good. They don't have the harsh scrumpy edge which the coldness hides.

homemadecommunistrussia · 01/12/2019 17:04

Oh no not that stella cider, too fizzy and bland.
I too like rosies, and anything still and cloudy. -that knocks you on your arse

Stowford press is fine at room temp.

I agree about things being served cold as I often find food in restaurants is cold by the time it gets to me, and hot drinks are supposed to be hot not bloody tepid!

Mind you I equally get the rage when white wine is served at room temp, it needs to be cold, very cold!

homemadecommunistrussia · 01/12/2019 17:27

White wine is an exception, I like it one step down from a slush puppie.Grin
