Thinking about getting one. DH unconvinced at the moment. Would you recommend if you have one?
Thanks!

The cordless stick has removable battery in the handle

CheddarCheesy · 01/12/2019 15:52

I've got one and it's fab! No pets and SO much better than the unbranded stick one I had previously.

Hattie78 · 01/12/2019 16:05

It's the cheapest model with battery at the top. I have four cats and vacuum every day and it's never blocked.

Doralee · 01/12/2019 16:15

Just got one and must say I'm impressed so far. I had an animal Dyson before and I never felt it picked up properly where as so far the shark has left my carpets looking great. Plus it's light and no plugs to worry about. We got the one with a double battery.

Frouby · 01/12/2019 16:20

I love mine. Hard floors all way through downstairs and I whizz round every day. I did originally say it would just be a downstairs hoover and would continue to use my big vax upstairs but haven't used the big vax since I got the shark and have had it since the summer, maybe july time.

I don't find it blocks anymore than a normal hoover, but do find the filters need cleaning and drying every couple of weeks so bought a spare set to always have one. I do have to empty it half way through doing upstairs but it's not a major issues.

Tip....

Don't by the duo which is essentially an extra battery. Buy a separate battery from amazon. It's cheaper!

Howaboutthisone · 01/12/2019 18:12

Doesn't the duo come with a charger that can charge both batteries at the same time though? Or do you get a charger with a battery?
Thanks!

I have the Dyson animal 10 and am very impressed with it. It’s light, so easy to do the stairs and my little bathroom. Great on my tiled kitchen floor, wouldn’t go back to a corded vac now

PrayingandHoping · 01/12/2019 18:21

I don't know if u get 2 chargers with the Duo 🤷‍♀️ I just charge one battery at a time.

ISmellBabies · 01/12/2019 18:24

Yes it's fab. Heavier than the dyson, but works really well and the dyson broke after a few months! Wish I'd gone for a shark first.

QueenofLouisiana · 01/12/2019 18:41

I bought mine on Friday. It almost runs off with you as it is really powerful. Easy to clean the stairs with the attachment.

Made me realise how ineffective my old cordless was really.

FlamingoAndJohn · 01/12/2019 21:18

With the duo you get a double charger so you charge both batteries at once.

Howaboutthisone · 01/12/2019 21:18

@PrayingandHoping that's a good point thank you! Charge one up and by a spare to charge when using which would work the same way wouldn't it. Thanks!
Is that the only difference with the duoclean and the cheaper one?

*buy

PrayingandHoping · 01/12/2019 21:46

With the sticks yes when u bought mine that was the only difference! The price difference between the 2 was £100 and the spare battery on amazon was £45!!

Howaboutthisone · 02/12/2019 09:29

The battery is currently £69 on amazon but I'm assuming they probably go up and down, like everything else on there.

I only brought mine a few months ago. Must have got lucky. I did a whole year with only one battery. I coped fine but after I had a c section and Hubbie took over the hoovering he couldn't do the whole house on one battery 😂
