Can you recommend an airfryer with a capacity big enough for a hungry family of 6?

Our current airfryer is on its last legs and we need a new one but I'm having trouble finding a decent large capacity one.

The one we have now is a delonghi multifry with a 1.7l capacity which is the perfect size, but unfortunately there are many features about it that I dislike so won't be rebuying. The one we had before that was a Tefal and I wouldn't touch them again as there was bits falling off it after 6 months, and I know a few people who had similar problems Hmm

There are 6 of us and we eat big portions so would regularly cook 1.2kg of chips in one go. Is a paddle free one the way to go? Ideally I'd love one big enough to fit chips AND chicken drumsticks in together, but I realise that this may be a very boring pipe dream Grin I've heard great things about the Phillips avance XL but is only has a 1.2kg capacity and I've watched a few videos on YouTube and wasn't overly impressed with the size.

Have a budget of about £180. Would love some recommendations please!

I’d definitely avoid the paddle free ones. We’ve been buying a steady stream of them since things started dropping off our Tefal and we haven’t found one that can do a decent home made chip. We’ve gone back to Tefal and will buy replacement parts on line when needed.

Thanks Smile Interesting what you say about avoiding the paddle free ones. I'm a bit disheartened that you've had to go back to tefal though, mine fell apart so quickly I swore never again. At least our current DeLonghi monster has given us a good 3 years of service.

I’ve got a Tefal one and it’s lasted us nearly 3 years and very sad that it’s now on its last legs. The one we’ve got has a paddle which is great as I can leave it cooking while I do other bits. Our Tefal makes some amazing chips Grin Only downside I’ve found is that some things are difficult to cook with a paddle. Tried sausages and they were a little battered after! We too are also struggling to find a large enough fryer so think we might end up getting pretty much the same model again
