My DC's are very tame this year. DS would like a Super mario encyclopedia and a hoody, DD wants a jellycat unicorn and a CD player.

@Laiste when my middle child was a small he requested the long horned cow fish from The Deep for his birthday. He was not even remotely amused to be told the gift shop didn’t sell them because they liked their tank too much... :o

Lego, lego, lego but I am struggling with plastic. Have found Lego made of sugar cane - it fits with our Duplo and looks like Lego - they are never going to know the difference, just me! No pirate ship though ! Had to go for the police car and the extra blocks ! (at least was cheaper!) shoppompom.com/products/biobuddi-police-station?_pos=1&_sid=74aa22519&_ss=r

He's 6.

MinnieMountain · 03/12/2019 17:18

AnneTyler12345 you could buy the Lego second hand and put it in a nice box. We always get DS second hand Lego now.

SmellMySmellbow · 03/12/2019 17:19

DS5 wants a goldfish

ChangingMyNameFromMUUUUUMMMM · 03/12/2019 17:20

DD 15 has asked for an electric guitar.

DS 9 has asked for some slippers and a duvet cover with penguins on.

DD 7 has asked for the computer game minecraft.

Easy this year and yes I am smug.

What about some second hand Lego? IMO that would be more ecologically sound that buying something new made of a different material.
LEGO is endlessly reusable, durable and timeless. We’ve got some that is more than 30 years old.

jellycatspyjamas · 03/12/2019 17:31

Bricktraders in St Albans do second hand Lego - all cleaned, sets are checked etc and sold at a much reduced price, they also sell assorted bricks. They sell on-line so worth a look - much better to reuse all that existing plastic, my kids have had loads of sets from there and it’s all good.

Nothing! I've bought a festival ticket for Ds1.
Ds2 doesn't even know what he wants!

Whattodoabout · 03/12/2019 18:30

Eldest (9) wants a switch and Legend of Zelda merch. DD’s (7 and 8) want an iPad each and crafty stuff. Youngest is 1 so he’ll be happiest with the wrapping paper Grin.

MegaClutterSlut · 03/12/2019 19:23

Ds 17 has asked for 1kg of banana foam sweets

Dd13 doesnt know what she wants
