Heart or head when making decisions?

I'm a bit stuck. Have a decision to make between two courses. Option A I love, but would involve further travel distance and not as practical but could make it work for a year. Option B far more sensible in terms of distance and child care but I'm not feeling the love and it's in a changeover period.

Do you usually follow heart or head?

If the choice is between courses, what happens at the end? Does one have better prospects? Or move your into a line of work you feel more interested in? Because if so is not just a decision for the next year.

Typically I do what my head wants though.

Do they both have the same outcome? Is it only for a year? If you go for the first one will your passion for the course help you to put up with the inconvenience? Will it affect anyone else (eg do you need to find childcare? Miss time with oh?)?

Both courses offer the same certificate and outcome. One course has fewer students so you're more looked after.

Been mulling it over for so long I'm going round in circles!

I will prob need to find childcare for at least one day a week . It will only be a year though and then a change of career so who knows then. My dc are growing up fast.

I almost feel a bit very selfish even considering myself and my future but they are really happy for me.

Why do I find it so hard to make decisions when it's about me?

So to update I went with heart and not head. Time will tell if I've called it wrong...
