Something incredibly sad about Jack Merritt death.

Every life lost through terrorism is so sad, of course. But reading about this young, young man. With so much to give who seems to have achieved so much by the age of just 25yo.
You see politicians who are Oxbridge educated and seem so out of touch, but this young man really achieved and touched people who were in extremis...he was really trying to make a difference.
I hope his parents wishes are listened to, they know what he believed in.
I don’t know, it’s just so sad.

Very sad, such a waste

It is indeed very sad. It seems that he was a good, compassionate man. I hope that his family will be able to find peace and comfort in the fact that he died doing what he believed in.

Such a lovely boy. I’m not sentimental at all but I could shed a tear. A good man trying to do good work. What a terrible waste.

That he was murdered by one of the people he strived to help and rehabilitate is so tragic.

I think that’s it Wine, I mean if an innocent bystander was stabbed, whether he was ‘nice’ or not shouldn’t really come in to it, it’s wrong, full stop.
But this guy was actually trying to listen, and learn, and educate, and make a difference and help.
Sad
