Planning a new imaginary life

Sometimes I browse wedding venues and wedding dresses and plan my "second" wedding as an older bride.

I also search rightmove for houses I'd buy if ever DH and I separated and think about how I'd decorate them, where the kids would sleep etc!

I am perfectly happy with my husband and our children but I quite enjoy planning my new life Blush

Anyone else?

Yes, to the rightmove house searching!

Mammyloveswine · 30/11/2019 22:29

@Stupiddriver1 this is my current favourite!

Woodbine Avenue, Wallsend, Tyne And Wear, NE28

I’m planning my retirement/lottery winning life (never actually bought a ticket) at the seaside. I know where I’ll go for breakfast, read my books on the beach, the tiny grocers I’ll buy my veg, the people I’ll chat to. Still deciding on which house we’ll live in. No fun if it’s all sorted too quickly!

I’m learning Arabic for my next career as a translator. I jet all over the world as I’m also fluent in Ancient Greek .

Just bought new shoes that’ll work perfectly with more moderate dressing fit Arabic countries.

My knowledge of fine art from both Arabic & Greek cultures is really sought after.

Occasionally I browse new flats in central London too, a bolt hole from my hectic schedule.

Again I’m totally happy with my normal life 😬

I'm living mine. I always used to think that if I got divorced I'd live in a flat by the seaside, and that is what I did . No more garden to worry about, a lovely sea view. Perfect.

I also got married again, and had my perfect wedding - a dozen people in a restaurant, wedding out in the garden. I had a dress made by a professional - first time ever - and DH wore a white suit with a shirt to match my dress. Just what I'd always wanted.

I do this! Perfectly happy with DH but love to look at houses on Rightmove and pick out suitable ones if I was by myself, currently I can’t decide between a little thatched cottage or the swanky sea view apartment....decisions decisions.....

My life, to a tee. Grin

Mintjulia · 01/12/2019 04:19

I plan my retirement...when there’s no more home work and name labels and mortgage and work.
Another couple of years and then I can be the “real” me Grin

Eminybob · 01/12/2019 07:16

I browse million pound houses on right move, and plan holidays I can’t afford.
So I guess you could say I’m planning for my life after I win the lottery.

stucknoue · 01/12/2019 07:56

Be careful of what you ponder ... I'm doing it for real now - found myself watch wedding dress and house buying shows when I'm not even legally divorced yet. Yesterday it was back to back grand designs ... I've only been dating him 4 weeks! It will be baby programmes next Grin but I'm a bit long in the tooth for that!
