Is anyone any good at tracking down vintage glass (begging emoji!)

Have a Thread in Christmas where I’ve had some amazing help but thought I’d reach to a wider audience Grin

I need a (or pair) vintage (specifically not a reproduction) champagne coupe/saucer with etched/engraved stars on. It’s a gift for an ace friend and I’d love to track one down for her

I’ve found some on eBay but one is a set of 8 which I just don’t need (it’s to replace a broken one from a mismatched set of 10) and I’m getting v quickly outbid on the other.

If anyone knows of anywhere online I could find one, has one to sell or knows an amazing vintage glass place in London or frankly within an hour of London, I’d be tremendously grateful!

It's worth contacting the flea market in Lewes as they have all sorts of stuff there. It's an hour by train from Victoria and is a lovely town with a castle and shops so it's a nice day out. www.fleamapket.com/listing/lewes-flea-market/

In fact there's a useful list here. Scroll down as there's some London ones lower down www.fleamapket.com/listing-region/europe/united-kingdom/#s=1

You can buy those glasses you've got a picture of specifically here. The vintage list is a brand (although I know you also said that you didn't want new).

Thank you! A mooch round Portabello market for a start sounds fun, then will check out other places...they’re bloody elusive I tell you!

Did you see LB's post above? She gave a link to an identical glass to the one in your picture? Smile

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 01/12/2019 00:38

LBOCS2 thank you Smile they’re a last resort as I’d really like to get vintage ones to match the others (of a mismatched set!)
