EE scam text - there was an error processing your payment

Yes I had this too . Anyone affected please text details to EE on 7726 giving name or number that sent it so EE can investigate.

I got it but supposedly from my 3 who are my provider. I didn’t even bother reading it. But it worries me that lots of people will do it.

Really Stealth ? I sent my message on the 24th . They thanked me for it but no mention of the Text incurring a fee.

Exactly missy.Being in a rush if I had not known that the payment had already been made I might have been tempted to take a look. The fact it came from an actual number was what me realise it was a Scam.

Pavlova31 the message about charges was from my phone I think. So might depend on your contract.

I thought it looked very real. We pay by direct debit and I'll admit I pay little attention to it. Its very possible there could be a problem.

I had one on O2. Looked very plausible - except my phone is through Tesco Mobile, which uses O2, and all my account emails come from them. I've now got to the point where I assume it's a scam, check it and then call my provider direct if I think it might be real.
