There are so many lovely inspiring threads about looking put together and polished and the crux of it seems to be little and often.
Which brings me to my question: how do you motivate yourself to do the little but often things when you are tired after work, have children, pets and other commitments?
How do I create the mindset that I absolutely must do my little bit everyday?

If you have little DC you need to supervise in the bath that's the perfect time to do your nails/eyebrows/moisterise your face.

I tend to alternate what I do so I don't have to do lots in one go - eg alternate washing my hair and shaving in the shower (I have thick curly hair so don't wash it every day, usually twice a week)

Wash and blow dry hair once a week. Nails while baby naps, dc watching tv in bed once a week (choose a different day). Eyebrows as and when, only takes a minute. Get showered and dressed, a bit of make up, before DC wake up otherwise it won’t happen! Organise clothes night before so you don’t need a lot of time, have a capsule wardrobe so everything goes together without much effort. Get rid of things that are shabby, wear your nice things every day and don’t keep them for best.

I feel like I need a list to follow and then tick one thing off everyday. For some reason looking after myself comes laster than last so I would need to do it like a job till it becomes habit.

I'm loving the ideas about alternating things and also getting rid of shabby clothing and wearing my nice things, so true for me!!
