Wedding dress help - I'm getting desperate

So I have tried on so many dresses. The top has been perfect on some. The bottom perfect on others.

My must-haves are:

Long sleeves
A lace top with a nude underlay
A plain chiffon skirt with the lace sort of blending into it (rather than a straight across waistline)
A v neck

A bit of sparkle would be nice too!!

If anyone knows of something I might like I would be forever grateful if you could send me a link. Budget up to 2500

Coffee the bottom is perfect. I tried on something very similar and I wanted the whole of the top bit to be something like lace overlaid onto nude. Let me see if I can find a top that I like to show you...

Have a look at the Couture Company in Birmingham, their bespoke stuff is lovely and should be in your budget.

Have you looked at separates? This website does some lovely ones:

Poissonpoison · 30/11/2019 19:12

Buy separates or a plain topped dress with a lace top over it.

Have you spoken to some bridal shops? A surprising number of dresses can be customised. Or find a dress that's almost perfect and speak to a seamstress, again a decent bridal shop will be able to recommend a good one

Jayneisapain · 30/11/2019 19:41

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!! I realise I am being insanely picky but I've tried on so many dresses that are just not quite right and I feel very flat about them.

Separates would mean that the lace wouldnt blend into the chiffon. I have tried some on and they just don't do it for me.

Helter skelter- I really do not look good in a fishtail but that is a beautiful dress.

I've spoken to dress shops about getting alterations to the almost perfect dresses but they never seem to be able to do exactly what I want.

Could you get your dress custom made by a dress maker?

MrsJakeLovell · 30/11/2019 20:50

Any of these? I think the sleeveless one could be altered to have long sleeves?

You need an appointment with Randy (or Monty!)

CoffeeBeansGalore · 30/11/2019 21:25

Slightly different, but what about this?

Just been browsing - have a look at www.morilee.co.uk

Some lovely dresses, with long sleeves. Some are keyhole/open backs. Not sure exactly what would suit, but good luck. Hope you find your dream dress.

alwaysthinkingofsleep · 30/11/2019 22:42

You have very very specific ideas about what you want, which is great! But limiting if you are searching off the peg. With your budget, you'd be crazy not to have gown custom made? Have you considered this?

sureiscold · 01/12/2019 07:12

My dress was similar to what you want. I had it from E & W Couture. It's a small label. Look them up on Instagram!

stucknoue · 01/12/2019 08:06

@CoffeeBeansGalore love that dress ... need to finalise divorce first Grin

Lonecatwithkitten · 01/12/2019 08:48

If you can get to the Ryde on the Isle of Wight can I suggest http://www.forgetmenotdesigns.co.uk/harmony/Forgetmenotdesigns. They made my dress totally bespoke for your £2500 we started with a basic design I like, but added sleeves changed colour and neck line. Their bespoke price range is £800 to 2500. Geri and Katrina are lovely.
My dress is beautiful exactly what I wanted totally bespoke. I can wait to wear it two weeks today.

@stucknoue 😆. Love these threads. Been years since I looked for myself, so nice to have a browse.

This was the dress I had, sounds similar to what you're thinking? The whole dress is a sort of champagne colour.
