Are CMS up the spout (again) or has ex gone back inside?

My CMS stopped as ex spent a year inside. As he was on benefits it's wasn't a lot.

He got out and three months later CMS started up again. Basic rate as it had been before so I assume he was on benefits.

He emailed me whining about children. I ignored entirely. In his email he said he had a job.

I informed CMS.

Then they changed the amount (online account) from £29 to £33.....

I emailed them on 10 Nov about the job. Of course they didn't reply.

Today they message to say useless fuck wick hasn't paid so I don't get any money.

Thoughts please

A) they took me off collect and pay hence the amount changed marginally

B) he told them to do this and they stupidly agreed

C) he hasn't paid this first opportunity

Or
D) he's back inside (I'm too hopeful for this - it takes them three months to process anything)

CMS rubbish as far as I can tell - I have told them ex husband is concealing income (he is self employed) and they say there’s nothing they can do about it. Hope things sort themselves out eventually x

I am thinking of binning CMS entirely. It's stressful enough having him linked to our lives. Getting random messages (as was today) which I have to log on to read with horror anticipation leave me with palpitations.

Does anyone know if you can simply bin off CMS?

In sure you can tell them you don't want to claim.

I haven't ever heard good things. But my experience is mine and what I have read on mn. And I have been waiting 14 months for some money. And now we are going to court. And that will be at least 6 months.

wasterdad99 · 30/11/2019 20:08

I did court before CMS. That was worse in our case. I wish you every luck

@wasterdad99 don't tell me that. 😪. I'm so angry at ex. And the system. It is useless. I just wish he would pay his way. The children's quality of life would be vastly improved. I'm fortunate we can get by. And I'm grateful for that.

Unicorns be hopeful
If you have the energy then go for it. If the financial possible rewards outweigh the stress then yes go for it.

Judges are no different to CMS. This country sucks in its attitude to maintenance. Flawed.
