Of course not! But a job's a job and somebody must take the bait!

slipperywhensparticus · 30/11/2019 13:15

iklboo · 30/11/2019 13:18

'Ohhhhh yes! Well, technically if was my fault. If the police find out I was pissed I'm in real trouble. Thank Christ they didn't find the cocaine in the boot'.

It's a job. Job centre send claimants for the shittest of the shit interviews and stop your money if you don't go for it. I genuinely feel sorry for the people who are forced into this or face absolute poverty.

Pinkarsedfly · 30/11/2019 13:29

I just say, ‘Yeah, it was awful, I died‘ in a scandalised voice.

chemenger · 30/11/2019 13:29

The best tactic I’ve found is to ask them to tell me what my name is. Usually they hang up. I haven’t had one of these calls for ages,

SilverySurfer · 30/11/2019 13:53

I go into great detail of how horrendous the (non-existent) crash was, blood and gore everywhere, you can hear them getting excited and they ask if they can represent you in a claim and you say oh that would be great..... pause.... but unfortunately you can't .........because I'm dead. Cue vile swearing and crashing down of phone.

ewwsweatyunderboob · 30/11/2019 13:55

They seem to be automated now pretending to be real people by taking little pauses now and again.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 30/11/2019 14:57

If you pick up the phone, but don’t speak, automated calls disconnect.

ThinkIamflyingundertheradar · 30/11/2019 16:40

It’s incredibly tedious getting these calls. It must be even worse making them.

Ginfordinner · 30/11/2019 16:44

I just tell them I don't drive. Or I just don't speak, and wait for them to hang up.
