Hi .
Despite having my own massive but very soft dog I managed to get bitten today by a neighbours hound.
I moved recently and took a parcel in for neighbours- was expecting them to call for it but when they didn't I took it to them - however they have a beagle that leapt up at their gate and took a chunk out of my hand . It's still bleeding hours later. I can't leave my own caring responsibility to go to a&e for tetanus. Doctors can't do it . I've doused it in dettol and put a plaster on it which needed changing this evening as had bled through. The owner said sorry. The came round to say sorry again and when he saw the damage came back with flowers. Owner is elderly and whilst I realise that I could report a dog dangerously out of control I don't t feel that would be right to do. Apparently it only bites if you're carrying a parcel. 🤷🏻♀️. Needless to say I won't be taking any more parcels for them .
I really can't leave my responsibilities to go get a tetanus shot - would you risk not having one?
