Aroma/oil diffusers.. what to go for?!

I love a candle but DP does not says they're bad for the planet Hmm. We have compromised on an aroma diffuser type thing as his Xmas present for me but there's so many to choose from!
I like the Neom one and the Muji one is nice and cheaper than the Neom one.

Do you have one? Do you love it? What should I look for/avoid?

I’ve got 2 of the Tisserand diffusers and use their diffuser oil too. The mind clear and total de-stress oils smell really nice. The Christmas Sweet orange and cinnamon is not so nice.

I have one in the lounge and one next to my bed.

Definitely the Neom one. I love it millions.

Neither... they are horrid and too sweet

I bought one via e bay, new, looks like wood effect.i wouldn’t pay more than £20 for one.ive bought both of mine for £14.
Also bought some mixed oil, fluffy towels, sunny days etc and it’s brilliant.
Also good for next to your bed to waft lavender etc.
I’ve put one in my hallway as I got fed up with the price of plug ins/refills.

MrBobLobLaw · 29/11/2019 22:11

Would you say that they smell strong like plug ins? I don't really like them as they smell so artificial and are a bit full on for me. I was hoping an diffuser would be a bit more subtle.

They smell like whatever you want, pretty much! But not plug ins. Plug ins have all kinds of artificial scents but you use natural essential oils in diffusers. You can use as much oil as you like so it can be very subtle, if that's what you prefer. The Muji oils tend to come in single scents that you can mix, if you want, or you can buy ready blended oils. My favourite summer scent is a neroli and basil one from M&S, I love Crabtree & Evelyn Noel at Christmas.

I like the Esteban diffusers (John Lewis stock them) as they don't look like diffusers/an electrical appliance. I also love my Muji diffuser that has lasted forever and a day but I have it tucked out of sight as it's not that beautiful.
