CMS when one parent lives abroad

What are the rules for paying child maintenance when the RP lives abroad in a European country? It is not paid through the CMS, it is paid as agreed between the two parents.

Correct. CMS will not be involved. Must be agreed between the parents, and failing that, pursued through the courts.

It depends on the country - some have a reciprocal agreement to enforce child support although it's a long and expensive process. It's called REMO.

Depends on the country. You need legal advice, not Mumsnet.

If it's an EU country then there will be a reciprocal agreement in place where the courts will enforce it. You can apply yourself by filling in a form and the court will do it. When I looked into it a few years ago it cost £80
