Minor parenting fails (light-hearted)

Yesterday DD told me it was non uniform today. I laughed and told her it couldn't be...
Turned up at school to find it was non uniform. Teacher laughed and just told me to drop off clothes if I could. 30 minute round trip to school to correct that fail.

Anyone else have a fail this week?

Not this week but the tooth fairy forgot to turn up a couple of times Blush

The tooth fairy has had to write many apology notes here!

I left DS1 at the supermarket and drove 3/4 of the way home before DS2 asked why his brother wasn’t in the car?

This morning I watched my DS fall of the sofa instead of grabbing him because I didn't want to spill my coffee. I regret nothing.

DD is in Yr 6 and walks home on her own, even though me and DS are doing the exact same journey at the same time, and we end up walking with her anyway.

On Wednesday DS had an optician appointment straight after school. So the plan was to drive down to school and park so I can make a quick getaway to the next town. Originally DD was to wait at the car that she would pass for me and DS, then it changed to collecting her from her class room door.

Guess who forgot the plan changed? We waited at the car for a while, then I decided to drive home in case she had forgotten the appointment. 15 minutes after school finished DD phoned to ask where I was. She was sat with her teacher in class.

I still often laugh at the fellow MN parent who cleaned their babies face with dettol wipes instead of baby wipes. They didn't realise until after when there was a smell of lemon from the baby!
