Anybody got one of these on their festive wish lists?

It sounds a lot of money, but as it very clearly states, you actually SAVE over £23K, so it's an indisputable bargain. It actually costs you less to buy it than NOT to buy it.... maybe....

Assuming you weren't allowed to liquidate the cash value immediately on receiving it, is it only me who would rather just have a normal £2 chocolate one. NO - in fact, as you're kindly offering, I'll have 50,000 chocolate ones Grin

The idea that it saves money is laughable.

Anyone who has bought jewellery and then resell it will understand how little RRP has to do with inherent value.

People who have £100k spare usually wouldn't be spending it in Beaverbrooks.
It's very nouveau riche.

How many would they actually sell? It's all very well advertising it, but whether anyone buys it is a different story.

They obviously don’t make these to sell them. It’s all PR - make an outrageously expensive advent calendar and boom, everyone is talking about Beaverbrooks and looking at their website. When is the last time you’ve read about that brand in the paper. It’s an excellent PR idea and if they sell one or two, simply a bonus. You’re welcome. Grin
