Using Philips Lumea on face

I bought a Lumea in the Black Friday sales. I want to use it on my face but don’t want to shave, Will it still work?

I don’t currently remove hair from my face apart from plucking the odd hairs and removing hair from upper lip. I don’t want to start shaving in case the Lumea doesn’t work and I end up with thicker hairs showing on my face than I currently have. At the moment it’s just peach fuzz hair. Will it still work if I don’t shave first?

I would be interested to know this as well @FiftyFiftySplit

Just so you know, it’s scientifically impossible for shaving to make hairs thicker.

I took the plunge and shaved mine ( I’m v dark and v hairy!) and it was absolutely fine. My lumea changed my life :)

I use it on my top lip/chin and it does work but only on the dark hairs. You would need to shave or use hair remover cream first though.

When I've used it on my legs if I've missed an odd hair shaving, it burns the length of the hair and hurts a lot!

It won't work on peach fuzz, it only works on dark hairs. If you don't remove the hairs by waxing or shaving first, you get a lovely burning smell. It's very effective when used as recommended, after hair removal and for dark hairs.
