inamo is nice if they like japanese. Its tables are all interactive which is quite fun

I second Inamo. It’s a fun restaurant serving all sorts of Asian/oriental dishes. The food and the service is good, but the best bit is the interactive tables on which you can order your food, graffiti, play retro games like battleships with the rest of the people on your table and customise the mood/lighting. You can even watch your food being prepared on a 'chef-cam'.
Also the T Rex Grill, but haven’t been there personally yet www.benugo.com/partnerships/public-spaces/museums/natural-history-museum/t-rex-grill

We went to Tredwells in Covent Garden. Staff couldn’t have been lovelier and they had a fabulous kids tasting menu. My girls got to talk to the chef who asked them their favourite course and was genuine in her interest. They still rave about it
