Where do you get your news / current affairs?

I’ve been a faithful Guardian reader for donkeys... but I’m totally fed up of some of their lead columnists and the fact that I am just trapped in the greeny / lefty / woke bubble!

I have the Apple News app on my phone, but tbh I’m not impressed with algorithm-driven anything: click on one click-bait headline and next thing the feed is flooded with similar articles. And they just tend towards bubbles as well.

What sites / online papers do you like for news and current affairs? Politics, economics, science, environment, social issues - with a sprinkling of lifestyle / funny stuff. The one thing I like about the guardian is that it’s free...and so easy to access. Maybe that’s the problem: I need to be willing to pay for different content.

What do you recommend?

I'd recommend a bookmarks folder filled with links to as many news and newspaper sites as you can fit in there! None of the news sites seem to be very impartial to me so relying on a single source is always going to be settling for a curated view of what's news.
