Hi.Just wanted to check if anybody knows about the 30h free nursery regarding the term times.
My doughter nursery said that from the 6th of december we dont have founded hours no more ,until the 6th on January.
I knew they have 2 week holiday but 1 month is too much.
when i register her at that nursery that's what they told me .

The funding covers 38 weeks a year, so there are then 14 weeks that aren't covered.
How they spread them throughout the year will vary, but over the year you will still need to cover the number of days they attend over and above the days that dc get in school.

Some Nurseries will "stretch" the hours across the 52 weeks, so your monthly bill remains the same - you get fewer "free" hours each week, so your "paid" hours goes up but then it remains constnat which is easier for budgeting. But they don't have to - it is one business model that works for some nurseries.

Surrey only let us claim for a certain amount of days per term. So depending on when it’s starts it might finish earlier in the term. Tbh they don’t give much room for independence in term dates. When did the funding start
