Hello has anyone breastfed extremely lightly I just mostly just feeding for maybe half an hour in the mornings not through the night it all day.! She is older now and she should really be off it all together I guess it's just the only time she has it is in the mornings because I find it the worst way for and me her to wake up having a major tantrum on me 6am in the morning ! she just has it probaby maybe 20 minutes half an hour when she watches her cartoons when she first gets up and I also need time to wake up which is probably sounding lazy and me but I'm not very good at 6 in the morning but I'm fine once I'm awake. she is 2 now my periods came back when she was just over a year although they have been lighter but I think that is because I am still breastfeeding a bit?? but I'm just worried if it will cause problems conceiving I know they say people can get pregnant breastfeeding and I have known people to but I didn't realise it would be so tough to get off it I guess after all this time. So worried it will cause problems conceiving???

If you're having periods you can conceive. And before too, as you ovulate before the period appears.

If your periods are back you should be ovulating, you could always test at home to see if you are.

I have got my periods back although they are much lighter than they used to be and I'm pretty sure I've had ovulation mucus?? So hopefully it shouldn't stop us and conceiving hopefully this light breastfeeding x

Not sure if this helps but I have a dd 2.5 years old, only breastfed til 3 months and my periods came back much much lighter than before (so yours being lighter could be nothing to do with the breastfeeding as mine weren’t). I would only stop if you want to, wouldn’t worry about t affecting conception chances.

Sounds quite normal. I did exactly the same I breastfed DD as a toddler for half an hour in the morning and occasionally during the day if upset, tired or ill. Had not problem TTC and conceived another baby on the second month of trying. Had to stop feeding in about the third month of pregnancy as it was getting uncomfortable.
