My late mother kept all the family 'archives'. The documents go back at least 3 generations and in some cases further. I used to be less inclined to keep sentimental things but now I've inherited it all, I'm struggling to sort it out and decide what to keep. There are some obvious documents of interest but I can't seem to get rid of anything!

Give me some ideas about your family archives and what you kept and didn't. My children won't want to have to deal with it all so makes sense to rationalise it now.
