It was 8 years ago, coming up to Christmas, around this sort of time. DH and I were hoping to start TTCing in the new year. I was a little bit lost reading through all the threads on parenting, Chat, AIBU, Baby Names, not having a clue about much of what was written but thoroughly enjoying the chat. 10 months later, our first DC was born 🥰
Fast forward to now - three DC, feel like a seasoned pro 😆 Still friends with the amazing women I met on the 2012 ante natal threads. Still fumbling our way through parenting but also able to pass on the gems of knowledge and experience picked up along the way. Coming out of the baby years but love reading the POAS threads of hopeful, excited parents-to-be. Still picking up parenting gems from those ahead of us and the times ahead (IT’S ALL A PHASE!!!)
Despite the squabbling and the not so great times, I would be lost without Mumsnet chat. Without you lot :) Definitely would not be the parent I am today.
