equity in new house

DH has 3 grown up kids, I don't have any kids. I've been living in his house for 10 years, I pay towards bills. I also own a house I rent out.

We are using the equity in his house to move to a bigger house.

We'll be sharing the mortgage.

I think we need to get something drawn up to protect his equity.

£300K equity and getting mortgage of £255K.

Also at moment there's a clause in his will that says if he dies I can buy his kids out of the house so they still inherit but I don't have to move.

I'm not quite sure how that will work now as I wouldn't be able to afford to buy them out of this house....
