Does anybody make themselves a really lovely breakfast very regularly?

I love breakfast, it's my favourite meal to eat out, but rarely do I really treat myself or buy nice stuff to treat myself at home. A lady I work with cooks herself something different for breakfast every day- all her favourites - where I rush to work and eat a bowl of cereal at my desk or a cereal bar or peanut butter sandwich. Does anyone on here really make an effort for their breakfast? I'm not talking about being speedy or easy necessarily- was inspired by another thread about self care- as this lady at work sees it as a way of looking after herself

These ideas are lovely. I've had my dinner but now I feel hungry again, after reading this GrinWineBrew

Me and my DS have either cereal or porridge (mixed with berries or banana or peanut butter)
Some toast with random toppings
Banana pancakes or banana french toast
Cheese on toast
Toasties
Egg either fried, scrambled or omelette

Weekends my DH is home so we do special breakfasts for him too as he misses out during the week so weekends are usually a feast! Bacon sarnies on a Sunday or a fry up

Yes to frozen Avocados.

You do need to be a bit organised wrt letting them defrost though.

My favourite is simple.

I have a timer on my oven (was easier with an aga) and set it to top temperature for before I wake up.

Then I just throw in some cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper and any herbs I have (I particularly like rosemary and thyme).

As I'm doing that I slice some bread (usually stale baguette/ciabatta but it's better stale than fresh) and drizzle it with a bit of olive oil, and then bung in the oven.

Takes 5 mins.

Then I head upstairs shower/dress.

By the time I'm back I have slightly blackened tomatoes and crisp bread that i slide onto a plate to soak up the juices.

If I have more time I might add some sliced avocado that I'll drizzle with balsamic vinegar as a side.

Yum.

I think bread and tomatoes are one of the great flavour combinations, DeRigueur.
