And put yourself through eating animal testicles and eyeballs, amongst other humiliating things?

OP posts:
Freddiefox · 25/11/2019 21:06

No.... they make quite a lot of money from it and after I’d be tempted

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 25/11/2019 21:07

Never, I would rather get a 'normal person' job than have a spider anywhere near me. Not a fucking chance I would be letting them crawl all over my face for a few quid and the vain hope of bagging a deal advertising some shit vaguely related to the jungle.

AgeLikeWine · 25/11/2019 21:09

Depends how much I was being payed. Noel Edmonds got £600k, which is a lot of money to most fading celebs...

Footballmumto3 · 25/11/2019 21:10

I reckon I could do a bit of testicle eating for the right money, but walking the plank would scare me to death.

Meruem · 25/11/2019 21:11

If I was desperate to hang onto my “fame: I guess `I would. But for the most part the show is full of D list “celebs” and I would never want to be one of those in the first place. I don’t actually watch it but each year I check out who’s gone in, in case it’s someone who interests me and most of the time I don’t even know who at least half of them are! These shows are basically full of losers trying to cling to fame.

MadisonAvenue · 25/11/2019 21:14

No amount of money or fame would get me near a snake, so no.

Fakeflowersaremynewnormal · 25/11/2019 21:17

No not just because of the spider eating but they all think they will be the funny down-to-earth one everyone loves, but it's more likely to put people off me with my whining.

Whatsmyageagain0 · 25/11/2019 21:20

I’d do it for free now.
I’d love the whole experience of being away no contact from everyone.
Being around new people making new friends.
Spending time with no phone, tv etc
Seeing what it’s like to be properly hungry and getting excited over 1 jelly bean
Losing a bit of weight
Over coming fears
The adventure
The simplicity
Etc etc

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/11/2019 21:22

Absolutely not. But I hate the idea of being famous, awful terrible idea, so can’t relate to putting yourself out there then wondering who you are when the public start to forget, so maybe that explains it.

Loopytiles · 25/11/2019 21:22

Most of them were never “proper” celebrities.

Loopytiles · 25/11/2019 21:22

Wouldn’t go on any TV show!

Ginkypig · 25/11/2019 21:23

If it didn't involve the eating and I was guaranteed no spiders anywhere near me at anytime then yes I'd do it, it actually looks like it could be fun and interesting except for the bits Iv mentioned.

Ginkypig · 25/11/2019 21:26

Having said that I'd never be a celebrity and would hate to be on tv and I'd definitely never be a certain type of celebrity (not judging others choices even if I find them intolerable) even if I had the chance to be so I'd probably never need the chance.

IHaveBrilloHair · 25/11/2019 21:29

Probably, it's worth a lot of money, and if you win/come across well then it can generate further income.

mclover · 25/11/2019 21:30

I'd do it for the weight loss

Watto1 · 25/11/2019 21:31

I’d rather do Strictly but I’d do I’m a Celebrity for Noel’s £600k

Spitsandspots · 25/11/2019 21:34

Nope.
Spiders, so not a chance.

Sux2buthen · 25/11/2019 21:36

I'd do it to catch up on some naps

TiptopJ · 25/11/2019 21:37

If I had to choose between earning a million pounds but having insects dumped on my head and being made to eat camal anus or not having to do any of that and staying as I am now I'd chose that latter. I like the show, its entertaining but I genuinely cant imagine being that desperate to increase my fame id do the things they do. I suppose if your that way inclined though it's worth it

LAwonder · 25/11/2019 21:38

How much do they earn?

LAwonder · 25/11/2019 21:39

The non-Noels I mean...

DaphneFanshaw · 25/11/2019 21:41

It depends, I suppose for a lot of the “celebrities” it can be a chance to reboot their career with the bonus of a good amount of money. Being scared for a few weeks might well be worth it.
I probably wouldn’t though, not because of the spiders, lack of food and camp life, but because I would hate to be voted out first. It would probably make me cry , live in front of god knows how many people.

I know that makes me pathetic but hey.

DaphneFanshaw · 25/11/2019 21:43

I something on line earlier about the different amount people earn. I think it ranged from 40 - 500

Monny1 · 25/11/2019 21:43

Hell yes!!

ssd · 25/11/2019 21:44

If they didn't have the snakes, spiders, disgusting food (eels!!!), eating trials, scary heights, cockroaches, uncomfy beds, smelly dunny, yucky drinks, crap showers..... I'd do it.

Failing that, not a bloody chance and I'm on min wage...
