Trying for a baby.

We are currently trying for a baby.
A few months back I went and priced all the stuff a baby would require. Pram, cots ect. Walked by mama and papas yesterday and the pram we loved is at a 50% discount. Are we crazy to buy it or daft not to boy it? Help.. 🤷‍♀️

Don't do it.

GrumpyHoonMain · 25/11/2019 12:22

Don’t buy it. Think about how it will make you feel having a pram sitting there gathering dust if it takes you 10 years ttc like it did me.

TeenPlusTwenties · 25/11/2019 12:23

Don't do it. There are regular sales. It might take you years, if ever, to conceive. Things like prams are available pre-loved.

Yeah, don't. Start thinking about that stuff once you've passed 12 weeks in a pregnancy.

MrBobLobLaw · 25/11/2019 12:25

I wouldn't OP. Not for any superstitious reasons but just realistically it may take a few months to get pregnant and then you're pregnant for 9 whole months. Buggies, even the small ones, take up loads of space. Plus they come on and off offer all the time.
On the other side of the coin, if for whatever reason you struggle to conceive, having the buggy kicking around won't be a nice reminder.
All the best though OP.

As someone who has struggled to conceive and just had a miscarriage, don't do it. If you get pregnant great, there'll be other sales, if you don't, you'll break your own heart

ByAppointmentTo · 25/11/2019 12:30

Agree with everyone else, don't buy it. You don't know how long it will take you to conceive and have a successful pregnancy.

nowlook · 25/11/2019 12:40

@Togstiree Look at it this way: if you don't buy it but conceive quickly, you might end up feeling slightly miffed that you didn't order the pram when it was at a discount. I say "might", because it'll probably be on sale again.

That mild disappoint is wholly preferable to watching it gather dust if it takes you longer than you'd like, imho.

Good luck with ttc!
