Place Elf on barbecue.

Cover with light fluid.

Strike match and throw at Elf.

Laugh as his smug little face melts into oblivion, safe in the knowledge that you've spared yourself from the faff of it.

This. MIL bought one a couple of years ago. I politely declined it. She did laugh and say she could see I really wasnt in to the idea so she wasnt offended
