Have barely seen a soul for days. Need to chat-are there any chat rooms anywhere?

I haven't spoken to another adult since last Thursday and my DS is poorly in bed so thats at least another 2or 3days until I can see another adult/go back to work and bore my customers!
Can anyone recommend any chat rooms for me? I vaguely remember enjoying them back in the early noughties... I dont want to be lept on by random blokes, need a bit of a boost, wit and wisdom. I've looked at pretty much every single board of Mumsnet!

Yes, talk away. I've moved abroad, work at home and spend a lot of time, frankly, talking to myself! It's nice to chat :)

It seems like no one has time any more. Remember the days when you used to go home and me and listen to a whole album?! Or talk and talk til it got really late. I miss that so much. Do people still do that? Is it just me who never has a meaningful conversation?!

Hampton I know how you feel--single parent, my only company outside of work is DD and pets. Neither are great at having a conversation with. I have been considering joining online dating just to have people to chat to. Even if means dealing with an onslaught of unwanted dick pics more than anything.

There are a few long standing chat threads on MN. Some have a theme, or grew out of a theme that is no longer relevant.

There's a 'ninja' one, a 'sweary' one.
