Current child passport turnaround time

Has anybody recently applied for a renewal child passport? How long did it take to come back? Thanks x

Two weeks, in the last month.

10 days and that was peak time in the summer.

5days using post office check and send

Not sure about renewal for a child but we've just had dh's adult renewal done last week.

Filled form in on Sunday after getting pictures down in town to get the photo code. Old passport sent off on Monday. New passport arrived in our house on Friday. Still waiting for the old passport to be returned.

So adult renewal is currently less than a week.

We did it all ourselves online. Didn't use a check and send process.

I would do it all online including the photo. Took under 2 weeks when we did it in March

You can take a picture using your phone if you have a light coloured wall to use as a background. We did 3 renewals this way

There's no way I'd pay for check and send. Also online application is £10 cheaper than the paper one

18 days, just renewed ds2s passport in October.
