Environmentally-friendly packaging

I've sold so much stuff on Ebay this year that I'm about to run out of plastic packaging to reuse. It seems ridiculous to actually have to buy packaging, but it's got to that stage.

Is there anything non-plastic that's strong and reliable enough for posting items of clothing?

Ask neighbours if they have anything suitable that they don't want.
Depending on what you're selling and how much protection needs and it's size ask local supermarkets if they have any old boxes or packing cases.

To pack boxes out / protect stuff , shredded newspaper or seasonal local craft shop sells large rolls of brown paper and shred that

Cardboard egg boxes also good for protective packaging or very small individual items to be put in

Do you need plastic bags to put the clothing in?
Why do you need lots of packaging for sending clothing?

Maybe put out a request on local facebook adverts or free cycle, I am flooded with way more packaging (all 2nd hand) than I can ever use. I keep so much so that I can't ever not have what i need, but I could be coaxed to give some up if someone else had a need right now.
