What’s everyone doing this weekend?

I have just got up, I am 18 weeks pg and struggling with pelvic and leg pain and want to lay in bed but have loads to do.

DD2 and DS1 are downstairs playing on laptops, DD1 stayed out last night. DH has gone to the gym.

Once I have done all the crap I need to do me and DD2 are going out to the shops and then are going to see frozen 2 at 2.30 this afternoon I'm actually looking forward to seeing it.

I need to work out, clean the house and do some meal prep. Possibly go for a few pints later but the weather is naff so not sure I want to go outside!

Coughing. Sad

I am sitting in a holiday lodge with my cat counting the days my house purchase goes through so I can have a life again.
Said "holiday" lodge is a series of lodges and rooms for passing through workers, it's expensive and there is nothing to do and the local town is a shithole.
I'll be out of here soon.

I have just finished my cup of tea whilst sat in bed watching The Bill. Contemplating having another snooze as I have a cold and my sinuses are giving me a headache but know Ii have to get up to go to Morrison's for some dinner bits and catch up on some work that I didn't get done last week.

I made the foolish decision to clear out one of the big kitchen cupboard yesterday (Herbs spices pasta grains etc...). I wish to god I hadn’t.

If I had a full day to have a go at it then that would be fine but we have the usual shopping, clubs, taking car to garage, etc so my kitchen look like an explosion has occurred.

Now can someone please tell me - even though I have thrown out a load of packets and jars from 1972, why can I not fit fewer items than came out? I have a shopping bag full of jars and packs sitting in the floor but with no space.

Anyone going anywhere today or staying in?

Going to go on a nice long country dog walk with DH and the DC soon. We live semi rural and have some lovely walks around here.

Come back, shower, wash hair etc, have a light lunch.

Then later this evening a big family meal at a local country club for DH's birthday.

I am thinking about Christmas cookies and seriously starting to bake.
The ingredients are all there, the kitchen and the utensils have been scrubbed.
DH still away caring for his DM.

I went to Sheffield Christmas Market yesterday with my Guides. The three girls in my little group were an absolute delight to shop with and so enthusiastic too! We were complimented on behaviour too, a couple of times, which was fantastic to hear as we've been having one or two minor issues.

So far today, there's only me up. I need to sort my insurance renewal, check whether I can claim for the tv that fell off the wall last night, iron school shirts and paint a door.

At this point in time...I've just put a third Christmas cake in the oven & am drinking coffee Hmm so should shift my backside into gear probably!

lucysmam · 24/11/2019 11:38

I almost forgot; dd2 wanted to try baking stained glass window biscuits so I'll be nipping to the shop to see if I can find hard boiled sweets in various colours!

I'm in the sofa watching godfather two with a bit of a headache after being out for dh's 50th last night.
One child at rugby, other three at my mums.
It's nice to have some peace.

This afternoon will be homework and ironing uniforms.

Had a bit of a lazy morning as we were out late last night, we have baked some biscuits, been for a walk on the beach whilst they cooled and ds is icing them before we go and watch frozen with some friends.
