I just wanted to write a post that I really appreciate everything my mum has done for me now that I'm pregnant!

She's always been my best friend but omg since being pregnant, knowing she did everything I'm doing now when she carried me whilst dealing with being sacked for being pregnant and dealing with real poverty (rats in council house in East London) and everything she went through with my dad and being in a hostel with me... I just take my hat off. Seriously. What a strong person.

Does anyone feel the same with your parents/family? If you don't get on or are in contact with your mums, is there anyone else in your life who you appreciate even more since becoming a parent?
Let's get some stories and warm fuzzies starting in here!

I throughly appreciate how hard it was for my mum to be working full time with two young kids. I only work 3 days and I’m knackered! She didn’t have any choice she was the breadwinner. As a child I used to feel a bit neglected like I just didn’t get enough of her time or attention. I realise now though that she was probably very stressed and tired.
