Scammed on sphock

I always thought I’d be clever even to recognise a scam.
But article sounded genuine.
I thought I’d bought an iPhone 11.
As soon as I paid they sent me message to say they’d post in next 30 mins and send me tracking number. I got busy then and it went out of my head. About 5.30pm I remembered, checked messages on sphock nothing! Alarm bells.
I texted again, they got back straight away and she said she was busy with kids and she would post after dropping kids off at school today.
I’ve messaged twice today, and guess what. Yer nothing!!!!

I’m so pissed off, the thought off somebody having my money. There nothing but scum and I really hope something bad happens to them.

How did you pay? here may be ways to cancel the payment.

granadagirl · 22/11/2019 16:12

Paid by visa linked to my paypal acct, I know I am covered by paypal to get money back but I have to wait till 12 Dec to give them time to respond (ha ha like they will) so he gets my money same day, and I have to wait nearly 3 weeks just to wait for the reply I’m not going to get

Just goes to show, you can’t even trust what they say when they message you.
Never again.

I also thought shpock was supposed to be like a local eBay, more like gumtree and just for collection only stuff.

NeedAnExpert · 22/11/2019 16:23

Why on earth would you think Buying something as current as an iphone 11 on schpock from a distance was a good idea?!

Jinglebulls · 22/11/2019 16:24

Well you might be jumping the gun a little if the transaction only took place late yesterday afternoon!
I'm not on shpock so no idea of their reliability but I eBay an awful lot and sometimes you just can't reply immediately to messages, she could be at work? Not everyone is tied to their emails 24/7 or has their phones in their hands constantly. I had a really arsey message from someone once because I hadn't replied within about 20minutes! I blocked her from buying any of my things in the end.
Same goes for posting, due to closures my nearest PO is now nearly an hours drive and requires free time and quite a bit of forward planning. I don't think people realise.

Shpock changed a few months ago to offer postage and distance selling.
