Are the 18 - 25's you know going to vote?

My DD16 grimaced when the news came on this morning and it was the usual diet of politics.

Luckily several of her friends take this subject, so she has views and informs me she will definitely be voting in the future.

I'm wondering if this is typical of the young people you know who are of voting age, as I'm sure when I was that age I didn't care Blush

My dd says she isn’t voting.

Yes DD and her very large group from uni have all registered to vote near their student accommodation.

I work in a uni and the VC has written out to all students informing them of multiple ways to vote and how the uni will support that. Personally if a student tells me they will not be attending my lecture that day because they are voting I will be saying fine.

Dd is only 16 but her some of her friends are voting for the first time and they are all passionately supporting Labour. Dd can’t wait to vote. All the young people I know are very interested in politics.

I'm 24 so this will be my 3rd, and 3rd time voting Conservative.

The student newspaper The Tab did a survey (a week ago, which is of course a long time in politics). In their sample, although labour was the most popular (or perhaps, least unpopular) among students, less than half support them.

Both my DC are voting. Both are away in 'safe seats' - Green and Labour - so have postal votes to vote here in a LibDem target seat, currently Con.
