4 year old dd is asking Santa for a GIANT cuddly fairy...does such a thing exist?I have been trawling the internet this morning but can only find oversized giraffes and unicorns. A normal sized one won't do....we had a long family discussion about this over breakfast Any help much appreciated!

How giant is giant? What size is she asking for?

What about putting a pair of wings on the giant Asda Disney dinosaur they have at the moment if all else fails ?

Giant rag doll and add fairy bits?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/11/2019 11:23

Postage might be a bit pricey, but I quite like this

Just realised that the links I sent were not 'giant'. Sorry.

Lollypalooza · 22/11/2019 11:28

Well remember that because real fairies are teeny tiny, a normal teddy bear sized fairy is in fact “giant” to its friends Wink Do be sure to explain that to DD!

JamieFraserskneewarmer · 22/11/2019 11:34

Do you know anyone who is handy with a sewing machine? I have made this pattern before and it should be fairly easy to scale up and add some wings and a wand for someone competent - you then to get to choose the colours yourself so it could even look like your DD Smile

How big is giant?

Disney did a 22 inch tinkerbell which is still around www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tinkerbell-From-Peter-Pan-22-Soft-Toy-Plush-By-Disney-NEWn/264519799875

or if second hand is acceptable, there's a few 28 inch ones on the US ebay site www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=28+tinker+bell+plush&_sacat=0

I have an adult size pink tutu you can put her df in.

SpinningBob · 22/11/2019 13:27

Thanks all!! I will check these all out when she goes to her grans for a sleepover tonight. She stretched her arms as wide as she could and said 'even gianter than this mummy!' so I'm guessing she means bigger than her. I will try and use the size of actual fairies as a discussion point though, thanks for the perspective Grin I do actually know someone who is a fab hand with a sewing machine....hadn't even considered that...will consider asking
her tomorrow if all else fails. She wouldn't be fooled by the asda dinosaur though as we are giving similar things to her twin cousins...and she knows her own mind exceptionally well for such a tiny being! Thanks again everyone!

So I finally found a compromise with a seller on Etsy...a 36inch rag doll( 91cm) which I can buy a baby fairy dress for...resultSmile also the dollys(removable) dress will be embroidered with dd's name...so will wrap that up as a wee extra surprise from Santa for the 'fairy' thanks for all the tips.
