My 2 y/o has just over a chest infection. He doesn't want his milk (first and last thing) is this normal?

I would say it is normal. I wouldnt fancy milk after a chest infection.

The most important thing is to have fluids.

Any fluids. Little & often.

So I would say whether its water, juice, watermelon, or Ice lollies its still fluids.

And the other thing I would monitor is urine output.

Completely normal in my experience. The hours I've spent slicing up grapes and ice lollies to get liquids into mine..
