If a UK sim card is used in Rebuplic of Ireland to text someone in the UK would the code be +44 or would it be +353?

Just trying to work out if I'm going to get an unexpected visitor that should be in RoI

Doesn't it depend on where the phone you are ringing is registered

If I take my phone to France it still stays as +44 for anyone to ring me.

I don't think I explained that very well, as I understand it the code you use is the one that belongs to the phone you are texting not the phone you are texting from.

I can't quite get my brain round what you're trying to get at
